Use it when you think part of your work was overlooked or a grading criterion was applied incorrectly. Regrade requests are reviewed by your instructor or TA. Be mindful of the length of your request. Regrade requests are available only when your instructor enables them for the assessment. ## Request a Regrade Under **Submissions** in the assessment lesson, open your graded attempt and select the question. Read its [score breakdown and feedback](/students/assessments/viewing-results#review-feedback), then select **Request Regrade**. Point to the part of your original response that supports your request. If the feedback uses a rubric, name the criterion you want reviewed and explain why. Regrade request popup with the message: My final line gives the speed as 15 m/s. Please review that line against the units criterion.

Select **Request Regrade** in the popup and wait for the confirmation that it was submitted. A review can increase your score, leave it unchanged, or decrease it. ## Track the Decision Reopen the question and expand **Regrade Requests** below the feedback. Once your instructor has reviewed it, read the **Instructor Response** and check your question score. Status	What it means
Open	Your request is waiting for a decision.
Accepted	The review increased your score.
Rejected	The review kept or decreased your score. Read the instructor's response for the reason.
Manual	Your instructor changed the grade without a student request.

Any score change is reflected in your attempt. Your **Final Grade** still follows the assessment's [grading policy](/students/assessments/viewing-results#understand-scores-and-the-final-grade). ## Common Questions The response must be graded and support regrades, such as a written response, uploaded image, or scanned exam. Assessments using **Average Attempt Scores** or **Full Credit For Completion** do not allow requests. Ask your instructor if you are unsure whether your response qualifies. Your instructor may set a regrade window. You can send requests only while it is open. Contact your instructor if the window has closed or you need to confirm its dates. You can request one regrade per question in an attempt. If you have already requested one, or your instructor has manually regraded that response, contact your instructor to discuss any remaining concern. Review the updated score and decide what to study next.
