# Multiple Choice Questions
> Select one or more choices and understand how your selections are graded.
Choice questions ask you to select from a list of options.
Round buttons allow one answer; square checkboxes let you choose several.
## Select Your Answer
Select the circle or text beside your answer. A filled circle marks your selection. Selecting a different option replaces your previous choice.
The correct selection earns full points. An incorrect selection earns no points.
Select every option that applies. Select a checkbox to include it, and select it again to remove it.
### How Partial Credit Works
For questions with correct answers, the points are divided equally among the correct options. Each correct selection earns that share; each incorrect selection deducts the same amount. Your score for the question cannot fall below zero.
For a 10-point question with two correct options:
| Your selections | Score |
| --------------------------------------------- | --------- |
| Both correct options | 10 points |
| One correct option | 5 points |
| Both correct options and one incorrect option | 5 points |
| One correct option and one incorrect option | 0 points |
Selecting every option can lower your score. Include only the answers you believe are correct.
Instructor can shuffle answer choices. Read the choice carefully instead of relying on its position.
